This book was about average. The plot was a little interesting, but also cliched (magical quest, set out on adventure, some troubles with some of the travelers). I wish the main character didn't have such unreliable magic as well.A few things didn't make sense - for example, they were all scared of the sailors and being overpowered by them, but they were able to destroy a whole village of dark magic practitioners. Huh.
All in all, this book was fine. I just wish it wasn't so short...
